Go Fish

Today K&A got into the baby clothes and were trying on all of their tiny clothes that they wore when they were babies.  It brought back so many wonderful memories of them being wee little ones.  Katie modeled the pink bunny suit that she wore the first winter of her life.  It still fit her but the legs were too short.  If only we could bring back time for a while......

Tonight we played our first game of "Go Fish".  Allie won the game!  It was fun to see them play and for the first time, be involved and play an entire game without much interruption.

We focused on bike rules today and how important it is to stop when mommy says stop and to stay on the side of the rode.  I love them so much and I want them to stay safe forever.  Funniest moment today was when I counted to ten in German.  Both K&A laughed so hard I thought they were going to cry!  Spring is here - my first daffodil is blooming!

Please keep baby Esme in your prayers tonight. We were supposed to play at their house today but Esme had a seizure yesterday and is in the hospital.

Aqua

On Sunday, our neighbors asked if we would babysit their pet fish, Aqua, for 1 week.  Of course we said yes!  LoraLee,  Avery and Emma walked Aqua over and now the girls want a fish of their own!  Aqua is a blue, beta fish that lives in a small fish tank with a plastic tree and purple rocks.  She needs 2 pebbles of food each day, so every day before breakfast we have to say good morning to Aqua.  Katie gives one pebble and Allie gives one pebble.  The girls are fascinated by the fish and often move chairs over to the counter and stare and talk to the fish.  Quite cute if I must say!

Today K&A played with their baby dolls all day.  Tonight for dinner, they moved all of the dining room chairs around the kitchen table and each one of their dolls had a place to sit for dinner.  Todd thought it was a bit too much, but they had so much fun!  I had to get separate bowls of food for their babies and they fed each baby while they ate.  Very endearing and it just pulls at my heart strings.  What a blessing those little girls are to me!

Social Butterflies

We have had such a busy week in the Blomstrom household.  Todd's Birthday was on Thursday and we had 3 different Birthday celebrations for him - the last one was tonight.  Todd worked late on his special day so this morning we baked him a marble cake.  K & A were more than happy to help me bake and frost the cake!

Thursday we spent the day with Ms. Karen and Emily.  Our day started at the Little Gym and then we had lunch and went on rides at the Mall of America.  Our sweet girls has so much fun together and they actually were able to go on 1 ride (the choo choo train) without us grownups!  Super cute!

Today we met some of my Southdale Medical work friends at the Cliff-Fen park in Burnsville.  First off, the afternoon was gorgeous - temps in the 70's.  Katie and Allie played for 2 hours with Maddie (my friend Katie's 4 year old.)  It was so much fun to see them interacting and playing with friends their age and listening to conversations that they have with their little friends.  They are getting so grown up!

Daily life is going well.  I have 1 week left at Eagan and Edina and then I start my new job in Apple Valley.  I have had some reservations on if I have made the right decision, leaving my fun friends at Southdale Medical.  I have never laughed and had so much fun at work before.  It will be sad to go, but I hope my friendships with my coworkers last a lifetime!  I know that I made the right decision to be closer to my family and my sweet angels!

Well goodnight for now.  K & A used to be so good about going to bed, but the last few weeks they have tested my patience.  They discovered that they can get out of their beds and open their doors on their own.  I stand firm and tell them that they need to stay in their rooms, but the nighttime routine has gotten a bit harder!

Here is a video of their first piano recital.  Grandma shoud be proud!
