Milestone

I am so proud of Allie.  For the last 8 months I have struggled with day care drop offs.  Every morning when I drop off the girls at day care, Katie gives me a hug and kiss and runs off to go play but Allie has always struggled and becomes very sad. I have mentioned in the past that I have tried everything that I can think of to make the transition easier for her. While they were in the red room at daycare (from September through March), I did not always appreciate or agree with their teacher, Ms. Mila. She is of Russian decent and she just had a harshness about her that I did not like. She would say things to Allie like, "Stop crying now, you are a big girl" and just razz her and bother her when she just did not want to be bothered. It would take a while for Allie to calm down. Now that they have a different teacher in the red room, the transition has gone so much smoother. In fact, for the last 2 weeks, Allie has not cried at all! Bless her heart I think she is feeling more comfortable with herself and her surroundings. I have also noticed that her hair knots have significantly decreased. Maybe I have to take out 1 knot a week, not 6 to 7 knots a day! Things are looking up for Ms. Allie!
